All of a sudden when ever I go to choose a plane, there's no thumbnail of it at all. It's completely black. However I am able to choose my plane in the list and everything seems to be loading up properly. Does anyone know how to fix this or know what could be wrong?

I have had this if I start new scenario but not from first loading.

 

Followed Poppet's youtube guide seems to fix the problem, but it keeps coming back. Whenever I'm flying and my plane crashes, it resets to the default scenario, and when you go back to select a new scenario, the thumbnails are once again missing. What's the deal? I constantly have to fix this, and there seems to be no permanent fix.

Are you referring to the "Visualization Only mode" error ?  

If so,  which one of the files are you deleting to temporarily solve the Issue,  The vehiclefavourites.xml file or the simobjects.cfg file ?  

What Aircraft do you have currently Installed, and which aircraft are you saving as a Favourite ? 

Hi Poppet, I am not getting a visualization only mode error... I am missing the aircraft thumbnails. Following your guide fixed the problem, but only temporarily. I deleted both the vehiclefavorites.xml and simobjects.cfg file.

I have the A2A 172 and Realair Lancair Legacy v2 installed and saved as my favorites... 

Try and narrow down which one of the 2 files you are deleting to solve the Issue,  The vehiclefavorites.xml file or the simobjects.cfg file

How are you Launching the Legacy from your simobjects.cfg or the Add-On.xml file ?  

What do you mean how am I launching the Legacy? I just installed the plane and pointed it to my P3D v4 location, and loaded up the sim and selected it in the aircraft menu to load it up. Is that what you meant?

Hello, same issue here,

When i first open P3DV4, i get no thumbnails and i notice very few visual information on the right rectangle too.   Also, when trying to fly,  i get a CTD when it starts to load...

Also tried the guide, and full default resert as seen in other video, but not working...

What Software did you Install into your Core Prepar3D v4 folder ? 

I installed the IVAP(Ivao software - 32 bit), installed T2G VHHH pointing to V4 root folder (as KSEA/LTBA/LFPG worked) and the just released for V4 Drzewiecki Washington and Miami(Official).

Then tryed to load up...and got the error

I did a full reinstall after trying everything.   Is good now, so i reinstalled everything backwards...

I found the guity application.  If i try to reinstall T2G VHHH into V4 like pointing to its directory, the sim gets corrupted somehow.   It was not IVAP installation, it was not Drzewiecki sceneries just released(that i just installed backwards last time).

So definitelly, something to do with migrating things to V4.  Watch this link, i think there is something we should pay attention to.
