I am happy to report my ACE 737 Yoke has finally arrived. Before I continue with my review first let me say I was probably one of there most impatient customers to date. There were a few times I just wanted to cancel my order which is human nature. I was a apprehensive for awhile due to the communication issues but after talking with Darryl I was not aware of what was going on behind the scene or what it takes to build a quality product during the last month and they were very busy trying to get out a very large amount of orders. Darryl told me the wait would be well worth it and you can't rush quality. Well he was right.

After my wait I finally received my tracking information and to my surprise my order was only 3 day shipping from Canada to Florida. Upon opening the package I was impressed with the way it was packaged. Each part came in it's own individual package. As I removed the parts I was blown away by the quality of the construction. There is no mistaking it for a plastic yoke. Assembly was straight forward and only took me a few minutes. Once assembled I was just in awe what I just purchased.

The feel of the yoke and the weight just can't be described, especially at the price point. Once I plugged in the yoke Windows immediately recognized it as a "737Yoke-LE by ACE". After a few short minutes of setting it up in P3D I gave it a few flights with several aircraft. I was very impressed on how it felt. It felt nothing like I've used before. As a retired C-130 mechanic I am use to the feel of the C-130 flight controls and the Ace yoke reminds me of those days. It feels solid. Tonight I put the yoke to the test and flew the Friday Night Ops on Vatsim. I decided to disengage the autopilot in the PMDG 737 20 miles out of TJSJ. Normally I wait till I have the runway in sight but I wanted to see how yoke performed. I was able to maintain excellent control throughout my flight and I scored a 75 landing rate. The autopilot disconnect, trim switches and mic switches all worked perfectly. I also ordered the hat switch which I programed to operate my Ezdok views. The mini keyboard I order fits on top of the yoke housing perfectly. I couldn't be happier with my purchase.

I can clearly say the Ace Yoke is not some mystical unicorn and it does exist. Darryl was right and it was worth it. I can never see myself going back to a plastic yoke again. Thanks again Ace for an outstanding yoke.

Ahhh!  I did the same thing too under your desk to brace the MFG Crosswinds rudder pedals since the wall was to far back.  Mine is actually an old PC side panel with works perfectly.   No more pedals sliding on the carpet.

Have you tried contacting them on their FB page? I know it's definitely not ideal, but Darryl seems to be active there. Hopefully you get things sorted out soon.

Hi Dan,

Good day to you. I have just received my Yoke after 5 months. Anyway, I noticed it has not come with any instructions, USB Cable, nuts, etc to assemble the Yoke to the Base. Did you get these items? After a 5 month wait, I really dont look forward to now waiting for Darryl and Ali to send me these components at their own pace, if it is a case of having forgotten to include them. I checked a video on line and that customer seems to have purchased from Aviation Megastore in Holland. It was shipped to him assembled and with the Cable, manual(by the looks of it) etc...

Here is a link to the video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dCkA52-t7rk

Cheers,

Dinshaw.

EDIT: NEVER MIND DAN, FIGURED IT OUT. ALL GOOD!! :)
