You have to first uninstall the v3 version then the installer will allow you to install both versions.

Daniel,

You didn't read my installation notes did you...  Never mind, I already know you didn't.

Scroll up to the top and read them.  It will answer your question.  If it doesn't- just follow the instructions anyway.

Yes Sir, I did read them, it just was not clear to me what you meant when you said "If you have the Prepar3D V3 version installed, uninstall it now.  (Yes, you must)

I thought you meant to uninstall P3D, so I did read it, I just misunderstood it.

A forum member help me.  Thanks.

Just did a test departure out of KLAX with ORBX Global Base, Southern California and FSDT KLAX, and most of the sliders to the right. Got a minimum of about 30FPS and no stutters, until I quit the sim.

FX:SE, I could not even taxi to the runway before the dreaded OOM with the sliders set to the left !!

Great outcome from LM and PMDG. Many thanks to Robert and his team for the many sleepless nights they have had, much appreciated. Looking forward to doing some flights with the 744 and 777 now without any OOM's

Again, thanks for everyone's effort in getting this bird ready so quick.

This is GREAT! I've been waiting over 7 years for this, I can now use a PMDG aircraft with all my other add-on crap without an OOM. It's like Christmas in June.

Thanks a lot Robert and team for a quick release on this bird. I'm going to have some serious fun with it.

Can't wait for the MD11 in the next... oh, right, almost forgot...

+1

Now all we need is Virtual Avionics to update their FMS interface.

Black screens and no gear and it didn't ask me for the serial to activate. I installed the MSI files too. Weird.

I did 100% exactly as you say Robert.  No antivirus, no Defender, ever.  Always run everything as admin, not over thinking anything.  I have a plane without gear, black screens, and now what?

Ok, I'm game, I'll open a ticket.

EDIT:

Okay...I go to your regular site but can't figure out how to create a ticket.  The buttons bring me back here.

I'm not frustrated, no, not at all.  I like this.

Go to: http://support.precisionmanuals.com/Main/

There are two buttons in the upper right corner of the page. One says "login", and the other says "register". If you have never used the support system, you will need to press the "register" button first to create a support login account. This is NOT the same account you log in to access your downloads at the PMDG store.

Once you have created your support account, you may then press the "login" button, where you will be guided through the process of creating a ticket.

I have all blank displays and no click spots.  Is anyone else seeing this?  It almost seems like an activation issue, but I'm not sure.

Yeah me too. Just installed it and activated it, but she just sits there. No sound, no click spots, blank displays, throttle and rudder won't move, nothing. This is in both version 3 and 4. I can't even de-activate it so I can uninstall it. Ran a repair install and that did nothing

Sincere gratitude for all the work done to get this working so fast in V4.  Look forward to flying the Queen without impending OOM.

BTW also really nice to see your enthusiasm for V4 and the potential it brings for the future. I can see your excitement along with other devs as well.
