URP v1.1 for P3D v4 released

Recommended Posts

More in general I would like to know how and if it is possible to modify some parameters in URP V1.1 for P3DV4. I am using it both on V3 and V4 and I believe they are by far the best presets for P3D, but I find the clouds tweaks to produce better results in the P3D version than in V4. In P3D the use of URP 1.1 has completely removed the "popcorn" and cartonish effect that sometimes the clouds have, and the way they look is great..very realistic ...in V4 we are not yet at that level. It maybe depends of a different way V4 reacts to the clouds tweaks, so this is why I would like to have the opportunity to tweak a little bit the presets.

Thanks

URP v1.1 for P3D v4 RELEASED
-------------------------------------------------
So under the shadow of new (and maybe "fake") PTA Tool for v4, we are releasing URP v1.1 for v4.
Prithvisagar Shivaraman did 90% of the job, converted the shaders and developed the tool, so you should thank him with a round of applause. I just tested the tool and visuals, and did some advising, honestly I had the time only for that, due to known reasons.

------------- IMPORTANT ---------------
- The urp-p3dv4.exe should be used to configure URP, located in "Documents\Prepar3d v4 Add-ons\URP v1.1 for P3D v4"
- urp-p3dv4.exe can also be accessed from Start Menu as URP v1.1 for P3D v4.0, or via the desktop icon.
- URP is now located in Documents\Prepar3d v4 Add-ons\URP v1.1 for P3D v4, and it will act as P3D ADDON, no files will be overwritten whatsoever!
- Install ReShade separately! URP ReShade presets and custom files are included in this pack!
--------------------------------------------
The pack includes:

- A Configurator tool, which allows you to properly install and apply URP.
- URP sky textures, completely reworked for v1.1
- Three variants of URP Sun glow mods from URP v0.9
- Two ReShade presets (Cold and Warm)
--------------------------------------------

This is probably the best shader pack for p3d

Thank you very much for your hard work.

Is it.possible to add a slider to shader option to elimate the blue haze scattering effect a little in distance? Asside from that,my sim looks amazing

Thanks

Mike

I fully agree with you!

I've played around a lot the last couple of days with several different PTA presets but I keep coming back to this one which IMO looks truly amazing!!

Anyone had the chance to try yet if the current version of URP works with P3Dv4.1?

Have you tried?

Does it work?

If I had I wouldn't have asked myself

I hope I'll get the time and chance to upgrade later today.

I’m yet to setup the sim on a new system,

also curious to know if URP works with the 4.1 update?

Seems to work fine when I did a quick test after I upgraded.

Thank you for that.

Now all we need is the new PTA and we are all back on track.

Personally I don't need PTA when I have URP.

Is it possible for you to add a sloder within urp 1.1 for v4 for scattering effect.?

Or would  that be alot of work.?

Thats all that needs adjusting and it would be amazing

Thanks

Would you care to explain for us shader mod newbies what this is about?

He means a slider for the rayleigh scattering effect.

Rayleigh scattering of sunlight in the atmosphere causes diffuse sky radiation, which is the reason for the blue color of the sky and the yellow tone of the sun itself.

The_Coorong_South_Australia.jpg

Rayleigh scattering causes the blue hue of the daytime sky and the reddening of the sun at sunset.
