Is there any way to turn off the sun

Hi, I've got a question about the internal shadows in P3D.  I've been flying a lot at dusk the last few days and with the sun down and stars showing on the western horizon I'm still getting the sun shining in the cockpit with the associated shadows.  Is there any way to make the sun and shadow effect go away sooner?
