Map display range not in conformity with RANGE knob

The RANGE knob on the EFIS control panel differs from the number on the display. When I select 20 miles, the display shows 10 miles etc. What could be the reason for that?

The map is showing 20 miles, but the tick on the white line with the 10 next to it is just showing you the halfway point of your selected range.

This is the correct and expected behavior of the EFIS.  Same ITRW

Not understanding the actual display.

The value on the ND is displayed half way up the screen. Logically, if the value is displayed at 50% the screen, 100% would be X * 2, which would match the selected value on the display controller.
