"SIMCONNECT CONNECTION FAILED" error in FSXWX

Recommended Posts

I'm not too sure if this is the right place to post this, but it didn't seem to show up in any other AVSIM forum.

I just got FSXWX for P3D and in the application when I click connect it gives me an error message.  See attached screenshot for details.

What do I need to do to fix this?

All help appreciated.

Thanks

Hi caleb1,

I tried on Prepar3d v4 and v3.4 FSXWX v1.6.1 and it works fine.
Have you installed, just the free version, FSUIPC5 for v4 or 4 for v3.4? Check the installation path
of P3D has not changed on HDD.

Regards

Roberto

I am using P3D v3.4 and have the free version of FSUIPC 4 installed and it still does not work.

The path of P3D has not changed.

Do I need to run the simconnect installer or something like that?

Thanks

In the main P3D folder there is the redist \ Interface \ FSX-SP2-XPACK \ retail \ lib \ try to start
SimConnect.msi.

I will try that as soon as I get a chance.  I will let you know if it works.

Thanks

Ok, so when I run the SimConnect installer, I still have the same issue.  It says simconnect connection failed in FSXWX when I click connect.

Any other ideas?

Thank you very much for your time
