Can't Get Rid of Offset

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I'm using P3D v4 and I was practicing SLOP. I offset the course 2nm to the right, followed it in LNAV and was ready to go back on course. Now when I drop a DELETE on the offset R02 RSK 6, It says Invalid Delete. I have no idea if this  is a bug, or if I'm doing something wrong.

Thanks

Full names please Andrew.

Try entering 0 offset or proceeding direct to the next waypoint (FCOM11.40.22)

Direct to the next waypoint doesn't work?

I had a problem with this as well, and direct-to for the next seems to have solved it for me. Entering offset of 0, did not however. I believe that was the first thing I tried. I even tried 0L, and 0R.

When I first read your suggestion, no it didn't. However, after using a couple more offsets (weather is a pain, huh) over the next couple of hours, I routed direct to the next waypoint and it cleared the offset. Entering 0, or trying to delete the offset, did not work. IDK if that is like the real thing, but yeah

Yup, the FCOM states that it can be cleared by either deleting or entering 0.  But it also says valid entries are 1-99.  One of those small quirks.

I suffered the same problem not being able to delete an offset. However, using a direct to next waypoint usually helped. Deleting the offset, using 0, 0L or 0R did not eliminate the offset.

There should be 3 ways to delete the offset:

1. By entering 0

2. By deleting

3. By entering a "direct to" at the first waypoint in the Legs page.

Only the third option works. Would be nice to have the two other options working.

I agree.  Perfect reason to submit a trouble ticket.  PMDG validates the reported problem and enters into the bug tracking system.  When they allocate resources to update the product the bug report  will still be there and this forum thread will be long forgotten.
