Just a heads up: Update to Nvidia 382.53 WHQL!

Recommended Posts

Hello guys,

just updated my GTX 1060 to the Nvidia 382.53 driver released 4 hours ago and got a huge increase in fps! Even the mentioned nothing about "game ready" for Prepar3D v4 in the changelogs I get now 36 - 40 fps while flying in NYC and LAX before that 22 - 27 fps. In more low pop areas like KSFO I get now 55 - 60 fps while, before I had around 36 - 45 fps.

Edit

No frame loss with dynamic lights, either at night or day in 747, steady 30 fps, locked, used to get 15 with lights on. So i guess this driver is a keeper.

Oh thanks for that report, I did forget to test dynamic lights

I think I'll wait for a official review from someone like Rob A before I try these magical drivers :)

For me sadly no improvement with dynamic lights. Burbank Hollywood airport, SSAA x4 standing on the ground 45 fps. At with dynamic lightning back to 25 fps xD

You used a plane what has even dynamic lights? I tested my A350 which dont have dynamic lights and no fps loss. A380 has dynamic lights and there I had a impact. If i put the lights on with the A380 fps drops, as soon i turn lights off, back to 45 fps :D

i used it on pmdg 747, again default scenery, 8xmsaa, frame loss on 4xsaa. it's no magical drivers. just a tad better than the older one.

Nothing different here FPSwise. Same 70 FPS on my test airport and same drop from 70 to 30 when enabling Dynamic lights at night with the Carenado Bonanza. As i expected.

Are you using GSYNC? NVidia Inspector?  These revelations are usually the result of some setting like AA or driver was installed 'clean'.
