How do 757 fans rate the Captain Sim treatment?

I bought it on sale for half nothing some time ago, and I'm wondering if it's worth putting the effort into the learning it.

I own the 757. It's okay, their biggest mistake was leaving it behind in the interest of going to other things when it was not finished. Which seems to me as a huge economic failure. Those two planes 757-767 are two of the most popular in the US and other parts of the world. Why they decided to abandon the product instead of expanding it sooner to me seems idiotic.

CS simply did not finish the FMC. Had they finished it and continued to improve it could have been award winning.

Interesting, thanks. What's missing from it?

Nothing is 'really' missing, but what is in place is unreliable such as T/D calculation, performance, etc.

YES!  Finally, and hopefully a study level 757!  Been thinking about purchasing the new Captain Sim 757 III, but I'll just wait for this one.  Level-D did not disappoint with their 767, I'm feeling the same way about this one too.  CAN'T WAIT!

I have been waiting on this for a while...

I think it's just a bit unfair to not give - after nearly one year (in a few days) - anything about the product; even if it's cancelled or anything of the sort.

Just be opened/transparent with people. If it is negative - the community WILL get over it at some point.

Yup still waiting....Does anybody have the FlightFactor 757 for XPlane? If so does that even compare in quality in terms of study level?

Hard to say but instinct is vaporware...if they be smart they will abandon the 757 and recode their fabulous 767 for p3dv4.  IMHO.

June 2017 - "EARLY beta means EARLY." followed by a lock on the thread. How DARE the community ask for additional info after the developer makes an announcement of beta status... the nerve of those people upon whom their sales depend.

July 2018 - Total updates/communication, zero. At 10 years (that's being charitable) to reach 88% completion we could expect an update next year, likely in the form of another "it's coming, stop asking" post.

IMO it's truly surprising that the crowd at FSCon didn't react with jeers at their "announcement". The 757 is now like the Iraqi a300's still on Airbus' order books from before Desert Storm.

Anyone who still believes in LevelD is wasting time, this is basically it, hurting or not. Captain Sim is the best bet, with their 757 being very reliable although the model isn't *quite* equal to a 757 silhouette.
