The 390 Premier 1A documentation?

Recommended Posts

Just curious to see how close the add on comes to the real one.

Any one know why some 1A have 3 windows per side, others have 4 windows per side.  Descriptions say they are all 1A models.

Just curious.

The fourth window is completely fake. It's just a black decal. Many 390 owners found the appearance of the fuselage too "squat" with only three windows, so Beech offered the faux fourth window decal as an option.

Carenado caught on to this, I was pleasantly surprised...there's a option on the "doors manager" panel to toggle the fake windows.

Neat.  Very unlike Carenado. I am also pleasantly surprised.

Thanks C525B.

Maybe Flight Safety manuals, AFM, Ops data, training posters, etc?

I must be looking in the wrong places - zilch, zero, nada, nothing of interest online.  Must be the name Raytheon, Beechcraft, Beech, 390, Premier 1, ???

PM me please if you know where I can find some info.  I was able to find an original sales brochure (pdf) with some good design performance info.

Regards,

Ray

Of course. Beechcraft sells their material on their website.  http://www.beechcraft.com/customer_support/technical_publications/Search.aspx?SearchPartNumber=&SearchModel=45&SearchManual=9&SearchProduct=Manual

$680 for a FAA approved manual. Online access is $122.

The FlightSafety PTM is available through your myFlightSafety account if you are enrolled in a course. It was also my understanding that FSI was rolling out a watermarking technology that when you download a document from your myFlightSafety account it puts your customer information into the PDF file. I suspect that newer customers who have PDF with their customer number encoded are going to be less likely to share their products.

You could e-mail Beechcraft and let them know you are media working for AVSIM and reviewing a product based on their Premier IA and ask for a media copy of their Airplane Flight Manual.

Ray, will you be reviewing this one?

Yes, I just got the download this morning.  I have been collecting background data for a month or so.

Ray

Thanks Ken. I have everything I could possibly use already. A truckload of info arrived this morning.

btw, Carenado says they have improved the FLC and VNAV for this one.  This is certainly encouraging. I really like the looks of the P1A.

Ray

Has the FMA indications been fixed? In all versions of the Proline21 thus far ALTS indication doesn't show in white when arming an altitude to be captured.

Marion,

I will check that out and let you know.  I am just completing the installs and checking the model vs the rw books now. I have noticed a lot of clicks and sounds have been added for this one.  The cockpit is really clean and uncluttered and I really like the Flight Guidance Panel top center under the glare shield.

Ray

Nope.  Also, many modes simply don't work with the F/D on and A/P disconnected.  Many times, you'll turn on the A/P and the scoreboard will change to show all this different stuff that you didn't know you had selected.

I have reported this in the past, as well as the alt alert chime only sounding once in a blue moon.  As far as I can recall, I wrote support tickets on it for all the other PL21 releases I have--Hawker, CJ2, 350i--to no avail.

Hmmmmm.  Is this a new crew?  I haven't seen the pilot and copilot before. I have complained for years about the STP (same two pilots) flying everything, I mean everything from Carenado and Alabeo.  I can't remember my last Carenado add on but they are certainly new to me - good looking crew, too.

Yep, I haven't seen anything in WHITE on the ANN yet. I need to put in a FMS flight plan and see what it looks like. I have been spoiled with the Flight1 GTNs.

Regards,

Ray
