Depends on what that texture mod is doing. I don't know how they are doing what they're doing. All I know is that they're modifying the sim in some way, and people without them have no issues, and some with them have issues.

Regardless: only a handful of people are seeing this issue, so my bet is that it is caused by settings on specific machines, and not our code/effects/etc.

Using aftermarket antivirus programs, perhaps?

Normal. If it's greyed out, it's that way for a reason. This is usually due to the simulator in use not utilizing/needing the function, or the aircraft in use does not use it (in the case of equipment options). For commonality, we don't change the prompts between sims so we don't have a ton of different code bases to support. We just grey the right ones out.

Hi scandinavian13

Would you be able to share with me the file name that is responsible for the 747 light splashes? I just like to check if I have missing file, maybe in the effect folder of p3d V4.

It's not a file, there is not file for "light splash" rather it is how the model is "compiled."  Developers must use specific LM SDK tools to transform a 3D model such as airport scenery into a flight simulator scenery file (bgl - stands for Bruce Graphic Language, the creator of the original). If the tools from v4 of the SDK are used then there is no problem.

Yes, but I thought that the dynamic lighting no longer require a BGL light splashes with the model of PMDG 747?
