For Once And For All...who wants to pay for a new PMDG MD-11?

NOT thinking they would even consider it.

NOT demanding anything from anyone.

But for once and for all...let's give PMDG a renewed up-to-date view of customer demand for the MD-11, after which it's up to them if they want to act on it in the future.

 

Reply with a  YES  if you're truly(!) willing to pay full price for a new up-to-date PMDG MD-11.

Laudable gesture unfortunately this "poll" would not bring any significant results because as stated several times by PMDG's staff, the people expressing themselves on that forum are only a fraction of the PMDG loyal customers (to what extend though?)

I love(d) the MD-11 but I'm one of these guys would almost exclusively fly real flights in real time (either pax and freighter). I'm already struggling more and more to find a good choice of flights with the 747 not to say with the MD-11 which is no longer flown in pax variant.

By the time the MD-11 would be brought to the P3D v4 standard (which I think would imply a complete new rendering just like the QOTS II), who knows how many MD-11 freighters would still be flying if any?

So for me it would be NO, sorry!

However, if the MD-11 fanbase was large enough would not fundraising a further development be a better incentive for the company? Say, if at point X PMDG didn't receive enough investment funds from the crowd to kick off development, the MD-11 was DEMOCRATICALLY dead.

I would say YES but what kind of MD11 are you talking about....just porting over the original and recompiling for 64bit P3D or a completely new MD-11 updated to todays VC standards, etc, etc.  I would rather vote YES on this one.

No. There's enough widebody heavy metal for FSX/P3D as it is (PMDG 744, PMDG77W/77L, AS A330/A340, BBS A330/A340, JF L1011, LVD 767 etc).

I'd prefer to see the resources channelled in to regional jets, turboprops and shorthaul machinery because there is little quality beyond the 737 and A320 families available. For example E-Jets, EMB-120, ATR, C-Series, S340, Do328. By comparison the MD-11 is in its twilight years with limited appeal.
