Error message FSX SE

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I have two errors messages when using FSX steam edition. I get an ''GDIPLUS.DLL'' error when i switch between the PMDG livery's or other standard airplanes within the FSX-SE menu. When i switch 3 times i get this error. But when i finished loading an PMDG or standard aircraft, after 5 seconds i get an ''MSVRC80.DLL'' error.

Just recently, I had an error called ''PMDG_737NGX.DLL'' but that problem has been resolved. I downloaded wrong graphics drivers. At that moment I could not switch between the PMDG livery's.

I have windows 10 running 64 bit and FSX steam edition. At the moment the user account control (UAC) has already been switched off. I also deployed all airports and sceneries like NL2000 and Ultimate Terrain Europe in the FSX library but that also did not help. And I found out that when i'm uninstall PMDG that I don't get the error message on FSX standard aircrafts anymore.

Could I have not installed a particular version of Microsoft Visual C++? What can i do to resolve this problem?

All the MSVCR80 is telling you is that you did not install something properly and it is now crashing FSX-SE.  Nothing wrong with FSX-SE.  It could be a module that needs to be loaded is corrupted or not loading properly from your dll.xml.  So you need to investigate and find out what caused your particular crash.  In the AVSIM CTD Guide, around page 10, there is a section entitled, "How to fix Most Freezes/Crashes".  Gives you tips on investigating.

For the GDIPlus.dll error, most people fix this error by deleting or renaming the FSX.cfg, restarting FSX and letting the config rebuild.  They had tweaks in their config that were not compatible and/or high settings.

Best regards,

Jim
