PTA Presets Megathread

I didn't try it yet, but it might be similar to what I observed with the Ultra Realism Pack where that autogen borderline (where visible at all) mostly vanishes in haze and Rayleigh scattering. I didn't settle with it as this amount of haze/scattering is certainly appropriate for airliners. However, I mostly fly GA at a height of < 3000', so there is muss less haze and scattering (as known from sightseeing flights or just looking around from a hill).

From the shots your preset might act similar, but I'll certainyl try it, thanks for making it available

My setting...DFW dusk, bright dusk with street lights... 

 

 

But this is real world reality. DFW dusk bright with streets lights on . I took this at 8:45PM Last evening while approaching to land at DFW. My iphone photo doesn't do justice.. It was glorious to see all the lights on and it was bright. 

My sim is Not even close..But I like the sim reality. LOL :P

 

I need to strive for this.. All the presets for Dusk I have seen so far, is either dark dusk with st lights or early dusk with no street lights.. not good

I like my current settings.  to the point I do not want to experiment anymore. You know "Perfection is the enemy of the good" sort of way. .. I am worried I'll mess up what I have got so far.

What are the things I need to backup?

1) The PTA ini setting that I last used. I'll save it as "MAnny setting as of todays date"

2) I used certain REX Textures... So do I copy the entire texture folder within P3Dv4?

Would those two be enough? So I can venture into more experimentation and if I screw up I  copy back my PTA setting.ini and reapply and copy back my textures folders? and reset and start all over again?

Because the nightlighting goes to off to early in the morning we cannot achieve that. Imho FSW nightlighting is way too bright .

This is the best I can make it look with my preset and Night Environment nightlighting 2 minutes before the nightlighting goes off.

This evening I was able to make an improved version by modifying brightness/bloom/saturisation.

Will post a screenshot tomorrow.  However this looks only great around dusk/dawn ...

Gerad! I am interested in this. The first thing I go to is the Dawn and Dusk.. if that is not ok, I reject the whole thing.. Since I spend most of the time during these hours. :P

After some more work I now have it looking like this 

On my pc this is looking very good at Dawn - Day - Dusk and Night.

 

Only my seperate Night preset + Night p3d.cfg file make the night look even better...

Preset name : 20.100 v0.9 - Still work-in-progress preset for Prepar3D v4 with PTA v2.51.

It's my amateur preset that matches my taste : VFR, daylight, low altitude & slow with small GA aircrafts.
