Here my latest version. The water has been improved.

Depending on the altitide reflection and refraction changes. I used pics to compare and adjust.

Thanks Gerard, looks good!  I'm going to give this a try.  Water looks nice!

As a side - do you know if any setting you've used would likely cause stutters when changing view (i.e. 5FPS for a second or two and stuttering sound?)  I love the pack, but having tested it and going back to my original,  there seems to be a setting that causes me a stutter when changing view sometimes.  I have a 6700k and 980ti etc.  I know a lot depends on settings of course, but I am wondering if you have any clue as to which one might be a demanding part of your tweak?

Cheers,

Rudy

EDIT - at the moment, turning off post-processing seems to remove this 99% of the time

Post processing always costs a little extra performance. If you have your processor running at 4+Ghz , use 16 Gb-32Gb 2600+ memory and a 1080-1080 TI graphcis card it will be better.

Now it is either turning down settings or not using post processing...

Hmm I might do some further research into which settings might be causing it from within the sim.

Have a 6700k @ 4.5, 980ti and 16GB DDR4 @ 3000.

I love the way the land looks in your presets - really really good.

Cheers,

It'd be great if the "mega thread" only contained files or links lol

Hello Gerard,

I like the preset, but can you tell me how to reduce the blue color of the water, it is to dark or too blue. especially the third printscree.

Set the Water saturaion value to a lower level and it will become darker.

However, the colors you see match reality completely.. Near the surface, there is more reflection and refraction. The higher you get the less reflection and refraction.

But I understand what you are saying. The color of the ocean water is the same everywhere, so if it looks right in the Caribean it will be to blue for the Northsea...

I don't have much experience  with  PTA.

Both of you have perfect settings. Will you please share your settings. It can be a guidance for me.

Thanks

Gerard,

Thanks,

If this is the correct link http://members.casema.nl/gsalden/PTA2-thopat-2_0_5 saldo-Vis 125.rar  I tried to opened with Note Pad.

Contents  were all scrambled.

I must did some thing wrong.

You need WinRar or WinZip to open the file. There are free and trial versions.

Then you will find the profile .
