P3D V4 CTD

Hi

 

I just had a CTD with P3d V4.

I am using Nvidia  driver 382.53 with gtx 1080 Ti.

Get the following error

Prepar3D.exe
   4.0.23.21468
   59279be2
   nvwgf2umx.dll
   22.21.13.8253
   593887a0
   c0000005
   00000000001dde00
   82c
   01d2e927af3d8739
   D:\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4\Prepar3D.exe
   C:\Windows\System32\DriverStore\FileRepository\nv_dispi.inf_amd64_2d81f3535ced17c6\nvwgf2umx.dll
   59391b8c-41d2-4a36-99f0-50a5e8686fbb
 

I will also contact LM  

Any help welcome.

After a quick search, it seems to be a driver issue - some software conflicts or registry errors. This solved the problem for some people:

1. Completely uninstall graphics Diver - you can use driver sweeper, but i would recommend manual uninstall, here is how to do it http://s000.tinyupload.com/download.php?file_id=61660764045734576003&t=6166076404573457600394047

2. Download Free CCleaner and use Cleaner and Registry Cleaner - this should be done periodically

3. reinstall latest driver

4. (in this case optional, but very important)disable some of the services and other things that starts with windows and can cause conflicts, and set your OS properly - here you can find the best tweaking guides for windows https://www.tweakhound.com/
