State of the art 1980's Flight Simulation....

Recommended Posts

Though this Evans & Sutherland CT5 was once millions of dollars of state of the art futuristic technology, this poor thing would be laughed off the forums nowadays as "not a sim"

Where are the 5 levels of clouds, The ai? etc, etc..... :ha:

How times change.

I wonder what the future will make of our current state of the art, as they plug their Matrix style neural simulation connections into their brains.

We are all connected..... To each other, biologically...... To the Earth, chemically...... To the rest of the Universe atomically.

True - if it was just a sim on a 19 inch monitor then it would be scorned. However, a full motion sim complete with windows in the floor (CH-46) !? I wonder if there are any helicopter simmers these days who run that kind of visual setup....?

Lol, I have practiced on a few B200 sims with the projection screen. Have to love the 80's.

True.  Its like nowadays when people say that AFS2 isn't a 'proper' sim.

That sort of thing always raises my eyebrows because first, who gets to define "proper?

For everyone.
