Approach Button Not Working

Sometimes the APP button will not engage. It happens about 50% of the time. The FMS is fully programmed and works fine in all other modes. On the NavRad page shows the correct ILS Freq. as well. This is on P3Dv3.4. also updated with the latest Airac cycle.

The most common reason for not being able to engage APP mode is because the aircraft is not receiving the ILS signal.  You should see white diamonds on the course and vertical deviation indicators.  For example see FCOM 10.10.23 indexed items 4 & 5. 

Another common reason is that the airport scenery does not have the same ILS frequencies as the navdata, you can check this by opening the simulator's map and selecting the airport to see the list of ILS frequencies.

Ended up reinstalling the base package and it works fine. Not sure what happened.
