Is It Time for a Separate P3D v 4 Forum ?

 AVSIM made a wise decision years ago to make 2 separate forums for Microsoft's FSX and FS2004 (FS9).  Would AVSIM  please consider having the same separation for P3D v4 from older versions ? 

I feel many Prepar3D v 3 users are not "jumping" on the latest and greatest 64 bit sim and having ONE forum for all versions sure makes it  difficult seeking out appropriate issues for PRE v 4 users.

I second that. Especially because of the 32bit/64bit difference. Numerous support programs require separate installations to work in both versions.

Splitting the forums makes sense and would make it easier for users to get support for their version of the simulator.

I disagree with a new forum.  I think most of the topics will now be related to V4 and V3 stuff will fall back several pages and you won't even see it.  Occasionally someone will post a V1 question or V2 question but I think that will be rare.  P3D is P3D. 

I know we had the same issue when DTG released FSX-SE.  Some wanted a separate forum for FSX-SE and the CEO said no and we came up with FSX or FSX-SE prefixes instead.  That works because one who owns FSX never ever wants to open up a topic about FSX-SE.  I do not want to go to that system in the P3D forums too where you would have to prefix every question with the version you are asking about.

I note that not even Lockheed Martin has separate forums for the different versions too.

So what you're saying is everyone wants or needs help with v4 and nobody will care about v3 anymore ?  I think you're incorrect about this, but hey, "while in rome" ... thanks for responding

Maybe we Prepar3D v3 users can start a request thread since this is the Heading for the MS FS 9 Forums
