I think he might be getting at the fact that now that now the hotfix is out the 777-300ER can be converted

Only if LM was able to resolve the issue PMDG was seeing:cool:

My feedback for the Hotfix:

In the PMDG 777-200LR with PMDG Default-Livery in Dubai with FlyTampa Scenery at Gate A1 in VC:

Without Hotfix:
14:00 o'clock - 36/37 FPS
04:00 o'clock - 38FPS (All Lights on!)

With Hotfix:
14:00 o'clock - 39 FPS
04:00 o'clock - 38FPS (All Lights on!)

Here my settings:

Here my system:
Intel Core i7 7700K
MSI Z270 Gaming Pro Carbon
Asus8GB D5X GTX 1080 STRIX AG
G.Skill DIMM 32 GB DDR4-2133 Kit
P3D installiert auf: SSD 500GB 1.8/3.2G 960 EVO PCIe M.2 SAM

Somebody wrote in the facebook group that he gaint 10-15FPS more with the Hotfix. I couldn't confirm this yet.
I hope that something like the load into a dead cockpit or some P3D.exe/.dll problems together with some background things for developers are solved but more frames? Nope! :)

No fps drop with all lights on? Wow. I just tested mine on the runway (32 FPS) and I still get the 15 FPS drop when turning on the landing lights. Do you get the drop when on the runway and turn landing lights on? Granted my videocard is a 1060 but still.

Looks like the Fly Tampa scenery was not compiled according to the P3D v4 SDK.

Neither was the majority of the default scenery - most of it is still using models compiled for FSX.

Perhaps if you go and read the most recent posts in the thread on that you'll understand the issue better. The FPS drop has much more to do with complexity of the scenery than what SDK was used (And the fact that dynamic lighting places a *huge* load on the graphics card when you're rendering areas of the scale that P3D needs)- the sceneries that cause problems mostly do so because they were already incorrectly built in older versions of the sim or use very old versions of model formats from pre-FS9 which are no longer compatible.

I have 1060 OC and don't see that much of a drop in FPS with 8XMSAA to be honest.

I'll check my settings and retest. But with all lights I mean, landing, taxi, turnoff, beacon, nav, logo and wing.

Everyone is a technical genius and tester! Just fly and quit worrying about your FPS. No one cares about your FPS except you and there are no awards for having great FPS.

Speak for yourself. A huge amount of development and fixes would never happen if nobody bothered to share their experiences and performance data with each other

Comments like this serve to do nothing but stifle progress and sense of community, which unless I'm mistaken, is why we have forums and not just support tickets.

We can all stand to learn something from each other, no matter how long we've been posting or simming.

sorry markdf, but I must a little bit agree with mlueck.

It's toilsome to discuss about FPS because, I can bet everything!, there are none 2 similar PC's with the same CPU, GPU, Memory, etc. nor the same addons on it.

So everybody have other FPS on his system. One more, other less FPS with the same plane.

Again: it's toilsome, yes it's annoying to discuss about this in the thread.

Make a new one titled "who have with FPS with which system, addons, OC, etc" and discuss there about FPS.

No offense, and have a nice weekend

Charly
