No more OOM now its Bragging Rights

After landing at FSDT's KJFK_V2 with Aerosofts' ManhattanX in the view I topped 12+ Gig RAM

though that is likely less than 9 gigs RAM for P3DV4

+1

Last week I flew FSDT KJFK-KLAX, PMDG 747 without a single issue. That would have been impossible before.

How are the Bragging Rights doing regarding playing a game ("simulator") in 2017 with 17 fps?

Laugh it up. v4 performs great for most people and that's the bottom line.

The first point is, 17 FPS in P3Dv4 is very smooth and acceptable for me and others. 17 FPS in almost any other game or simulator is not smooth and totally unacceptable to just about everybody.

The other point is, I get 17 FPS because I pile on all kinds of high settings and add-ons, so its my "fault" P3D is at "17 FPS". In 2017 I can get P3D default up to 200 FPS no problem at all. I like the choice of settings we have available to us in P3Dv4, and I like the option to modify the .cfg file for further choices.

I have it quite good in 2017 with P3Dv4. 2018 and beyond can only get better, because we have awesome developers with great imaginations.

Also, its 4K monitor with an old 4790 i7 and an R290 4G videocard, not the top of the line, but 17 was my lower fps, it went up to 23 at times, so steady at 17+ is fine with me on a 4K with my antiquity and most sliders fully right

:kcg_hmn:

The post was meant to show RAM loads not fps, that was on by err

Loading the default scene form a fresh install it is way over 100 fps, I load it all on

That's a lot of cash to pay for bragging rights. Is P3D (or any sim) really going to benefit from all the cores it provides?

That is the question. If it it is positive tell me.... I get my debit card ready to throw cash at the local hardware store!
