Flight Plan Formats

Can the GNS530/430 read any other format than .fpl?  I do not think so but wanted to clarify.  Thank you.

Hi,

As-is, the only format supported is FPL. Nothing prevents to use/develop an external ANY->FPL converter though. What do you have in mind?

I want to create the flight plan in pilot2ATC, an incredibly easy visual interface for import into the GNS.  Unfortunately, I have not found anything that will convert into .fpl format.  A converter would be great.  I also don't find the flight plan starter pack to answer Dave's questions from the attached link.

When installing the latest GNS V2 2.2.6, it installs in:

"C:\ProgramData\Reality XP\Common\GnsTrainer\flightplans.zip"

By default the folder ProgramData is hidden by Windows, so you have to unhide it in the Windows Explorer settings.

Alternatively, you can also type the path in the 'path' field in the Windows Explorer window and it opens it up.
