ATC sending me back to past waypoints

I just did eidw-egno. As I was gettting close to the airport i got this from atc " airbus One Victor Bravo Expect the  ILS  approach to runway Two Five with the WTN transition  at WARTON Turn Left Heading Zero Eight Eight cleared direct GINIS"

 

Thing is  that going direct to ginis would have meant to back .GINIS was a waypoint i had already passed.Not sure what happened ?

This was likely a timing issue.  The command was generated before you passed GINIS, but other activity prevented it from getting out until you had passed it.  This can happen on occasion.  When it does, just ignore it and keep flying.

[Edit] I did find one circumstance where this could have been done in error.  That will be fixed in the next update.
