Hi Matt

I have a P3Dv3.4 setup up and running well

Started a P3Dv4 setup now on same computer -different hard disc obviously

Can I have PTA for both or only one at a time?

I want to run P3Dv3.4 for some while yet

Hi Matt

Did what you said-installed free download for V3.4

Then downloaded paid for PTA version for V4

Slightly upset the v4 installation because it noted another P3D setup

Did I want to continue etc

I did and installed safely

Both v3.4 and v4 now have the appropriate version installed

However to enter the later installed v4 version I have to reactivate it each time

Is this OK

my P3D v3.4 and P3Dv4 are on on the same computer but different hard drives

PS I have noticed this P3Dv3.4 /P3Dv4 interaction with some other programs I have mainly aircraft

Hi,

PTA shouldn't interfere with any of the P3D installations - if you're running PTA for both sims, I suggest having a folder called "PTA P3Dv3" and "PTA P3Dv4" and then running the appropriate executable from inside those folders.

Regarding the persistent activation screen, you need to make sure each executable is run as administrator by right clicking it and selecting "Run as Administrator". The reason this needs to be done is so that the program can securely store your key to the settings.res folder - without the right permissions it cannot write to that file.

Regarding where your P3D is installed, PTA doesn't care about that - it will automatically find them.

Hope this helps.

Hi Matt

Not much joy after renaming files-would it have worked better if done on initial installation?

However they are not programmes that I go in and out of every day so the problem is a small one

All seem to be installed successfully and working so now to flying!
