Localized Mountain Textures - Blurry

Recommended Posts

A localized area, NE of Sqamish. This is Orbx Pacific Northwest Region.

I found a specific area that has, for some reason, textures that are out of focus compared to their neighbours.

Can someone else confirm if this is not unique to my setup please.

Use the map for location.

I can confirm that this IS unique to your setup.

The non photoreal part of the textures also seem to be blurry on your screenshots. So something is not keeping up on your setup.

Thanks for checking, another friend also confirmed its me.

So this is the first problem I have encountered with P3DV4.

Furthermore a minute of so after doing these screenies I had an instantaneous CTD.

The only thing new was this plane.

I'm going to run the sim from a cold reboot. With and with out this plane and see what happens.

Cold rebooted.

Loaded up a flight. Same plane same area.

Scenery is totally sharp, frames very high...everything is good, thanks.

What bothers me is why in the first place and why the CTD.

Two things:

1. Might have been pausing the sim for a lengthy period of time then restarting. I have noticed the the sim doesn't like that much.

2. I also had a movie making software, Photodex running at the same time, it may have been a conflict with this which also is a very high memory hog.

Most likely #2.  I have an i7 6700K @4.5 with 32 GB RAM and GTX1080ti.  All P3Dv4 software is on SSD's.  Built it specifically for P3Dv4 and there isn't much of anything it can't keep up with running v4.

I also do video editing (one of the reasons I have 32 GB RAM).  I was editing a video about a week ago (was gonna take a while) so I fired up P3Dv4.  Uh....my P3Dv4 didn't like that either.  Many video editing apps will assault your entire system and grab, and hang onto, resources like a thief.
