NGX heavy one-stutter every 53 seconds (V4)

Recommended Posts

As the title says, I've been experiencing this since I installed the NGX in V4. Every 53 seconds the whole sim would stop in one frame while the sound still goes on like normal.

Hasn't happened befor with the other PMDG birds, although I haven't tested them since the whole uninstall/installation of yesterday's overall update.

Has anybody experienced the same thing? I haven't changed a thing in the sim, except the stated above.

OK I'm dealing with this issue as well, trying to establish a pattern. Taxiing, no problem but as soon as the plane is airborne, the 6 second pauses occur, about every minute. I've changed some settings but so far no joy. I'll keep fiddling, also have done an uninstall/reinstall as admin.

Onward...

Not really here on my side. Made an entire flight from EDDL -> LIRN -> EDDL -> LFPG without restarting the sim, but no stutter at all. Everything smooth. I was a bit surprised about the very high FPS i got in the NGX (never seen this before), but that's all.

This sounds like some antivirus suite "interacting" with a changed element in sim, scanning a file everytime it is loaded...

Are you using FSUIPC autosave?  Does the pause coincide with the autosave interval?  I had the same issue with the 777 P3Dv4.  It seems that it now takes significantly longer to save the flight data than it used to.  I had to disable autosave to clear my problem.

Hope this helps,

Tom

As a matter of fact, yes. Every 60 secs.

Will try to re-set it to 120 secs and see what's up with that.

EDIT: heh, fsuipc is not showing in the menu for some reason, and as I'm in the middle of a flight, I guess I'll try that after arrival.

BTW, the math adds up.  If the pause is every 53 seconds, and the act of saving the data takes 7 seconds, there's your 60 second interval.  And 7 seconds sounds about right for the time-to-save duration.  At least that's what I experience.
