Better Pushback

Zibo, in 730-800(J), has corrected the Tug hang-up when in use with this fabulous aircraft.  It now works...and detaches after pin-disconnect.  Wonderful!

I still have the issue with both releases up to date. Pushback works like a charm, then "Operation complete, set parking brake." ... and then nothing happens with my 737 locked up by the truck.

Never mind I resolved this issue. Here's a nice way to get rif of the X-Plane standard tug so there won't be a (visual) conflict:

It's being updated faster than I can install it :)

Great add-on!

That's the one problem with the XP community. I go to fly the ZIBO 737 and I'm 5 versions behind. So I update that and get ready to go fly when I realize I need to update better pushback.

Seriously though, I'm looking forward to try this when I return from my vacation.

Hello,

Seems a great plugin! It reminds me the job on the ramp^^

Is it working on XP10 by the way. I still do not have XP11.

Best regards,

Pierre

This excellent plugin works perfectly on XP10.51r2

Does anyone knows how to change a tag? I know there are at least 3 included in the latest build

you do not change the tug to my understanding. All tugs available have a different aircraft purpose given its size/weight. The plugin should select automatically the right tug depending you are requiring pushback for a small bird, a narrow body jet or a wide body heavy jet.

I change 737 to MD80 which seems a bit smaller but got the same tug. Will experiment with other planes

the 737 & the md 80 are on the same category. Medium weight, narrow body (single aisle) jetliner.

smal bird is a SAAB340 or a private jet like a citation or a cessna 206.

hevy weight is a double aisle wide body jet 767, 777, A380, 747, etc.

I thought FlyJSim's silhouette pushback tool was clever, but this is on another level. Really great work and a great addition to X-Plane!

I just decided to do a flight from Nice, and the pushback guy has a French accent! This plugin is awesome!

The normal process is:

  • Pre-plan pushback position
  • Request Pushback - tug drives up and connects
  • Release parking brake when requested and then pushback commences.

Is it possible to request the pushback BEFORE pre planning the direction as this would really help to save time when on VATSIM or IVAO?

e.g.

  • Request Pushback - tug drives up and connects.
  • Request ATC for pushback approval, and receive direction that you need to pushback too.
  • Plan the pushback
  • Then release parking brake.

Is this sequence possible with Better Pushback?
