MarkW,

I have to say, "so you should be" LOL ... great shots, particularly from an old computer.  What, by the way, are your old computer specs?

I am in the process of replacing an AMD R9 290, power supply(1200watts, a 2TB HDD and a 240gb SSD all due to a power failure or fails (17 power fails in 4 days and this is not really abnormal for here) the R9 290 I am replacing with an ordered Zotac GTX 1080ti amp extreme, (already replaced one R9 290 with a Zotac GTX 1050ti OC) The PSU will be the same as I have had for long long  years  abd this one has survived inumerable power fails. The HDD and SSD will be replaced with similiar items.

Sadly, I cannot afford to replace my MB, RAM and CPU so I am hoping the new system (when the parts arrive) will cope with P3Dv4 and Xplane11 (with, hopefully, lots and lots of Ortho4XP Essentially, though it will still be an "old" system and I am wondering if I can expect a final result similar to yours.

Thanks for your screenies

Regards

Tony Chilcott

i5 2500K with OC of 4.7.  Graphics is a GTX970.  I am hopefully upgrading in the fall.  Performance is actually pretty good most of the time with reasonable settings.  The only major problem is the occasional long pause of 1 or 2 seconds but I really don't notice it that often.
