Black Marble worldwide nightlighting system is coming

Recommended Posts

https://forums.chrisbelldesigns.com/topic/207-black-marble/

This is looking fantastic to me.

With Black Marble Base the default roads system will get way better en a more real looking nightlighting. And you can control and change the way the lighting looks.

As I understand it the Black Marble Vector package replaces the default roads system with all roads from the whole world at their correct place.

You can add Black Marble bridges ( all bridges in the world ) and Black Marble Traffic ( moving cars with realistic configurable lighting ).

All packages are now in Pre Order at -25%.

I have all Night Environment packages for Europe so I know how good Chris' work is.

Isn't it the same as Blue Marble - just at night?

No, Blue Marble photo scenery from the whole planet ( day and night ) at 500 Mp.

This is looking nice from 35000 ft and up.

Black Marble is no photo scenery. If you want great looking nightlighting on top of photo scenery there is Night Environment.

BM looks like that on a normal underground ( default / FTX etc)

So how does black marble vector and ftx vector interact? That's my question. Otherwise it looks very nice but the price is also high. So it better be good :-)

Ill agree his night environment was fantastic for p3d v3x... but my "theres something fishy" radar has gone off.  Whats the catch here ???

PREPAR3D $22.50 $44.99

PREPAR3D v4 $44.99

Why is v4 twice as much as v3 ??  for the products...

Whats the difference between Vector, Base, and next generation

my "fishy, this sounds dodgy" radar is never wrong..  still you can for support now too :angry:

The price is the same. But he is selling it per platform. If you buy for v4 and you also want to buy for v3, he will give you 50% off. Play around a bit in his shop. You can choose to buy v3 and you will see that v4 will give you a discount.

Don't confuse Blue Marble with Black Marble. Black Marble is like Night Environment but for the whole world. There is a nice explanation on his forum about Black Marble Base,Vector, Traffic and Bridges.

I bought the UK package back in the day of FSX and found it to be a bit of an fps killer. Also the price for individual countries was rather high, meaning that if you flew regularly around say Europe it would cost a few hundred Pounds sterling to just replace road lighting.

So not for me I'm afraid, but I'm sure others will love the package and buy it.

It is no fps killer if you set :

- AG range to Low

- AG buildings/trees to Sparse or Off

- LOD radius to Lowest

- AA a notch lower

- Shadows off

- Water to Low

they don't interact!
we update Sim native data files, not third party!
you can disable 3rd party roads and use Sim native with Black Marble,
more info about our Vector data and file structure can be found here

Not being funny, but what is the point if you have to make all these sacrifices? Yes you may not see half of that at night

It looks good but if I have to do this i wont be buying it
