Advanced Search Yields No Files

Recommended Posts

In the last couple of days I've been trying to search the library for previous planes I've downloaded, specifically PDMG 737 and 747 for FSX. However the search is noting that there are no files.

I'm also not getting any results for other searches such as authors Goldstar Textures or Ray Smith (I've downloaded lots of their files in the past)

Any suggestions would be appreciated

Thanks

Michael

Hello Michael,

Maybe this might help, possibly due to miss-spelling or no category selected.

If you are looking for PMDG repaints don't use "PDMG" as your search

Using - - - Flight Simulator X - Aircraft Repaints, Textures & Modifications
PMDG yields 3266 results.
Using - - - Flight Simulator X - Aircraft Repaints, Textures & Modifications
PMDG 747 yields 580 results.
Using - - - Flight Simulator X - Aircraft Repaints, Textures & Modifications
PMDG 737 yields 1231 results.
Using - - - Flight Simulator X - Aircraft Repaints, Textures & Modifications
Goldstar Textures yields 316 results.
Using - - - AVSIM File Library  "Author" Ray Smith 277 Results.

When you have the "Extended Search" panel open, where there is a "Category" entry drop menu, make sure you select a search category, example:( - - - Flight Simulator X - Aircraft Repaints, Textures & Modifications )
if you have not selected a category & just see 4 dashes - - - -  your search will not yield any results.

Hope this helps

Cheers Jethro

Thanks Jethro

Using your parameters worked. I could have sworn that in the past I could just select Flight Simulator X rather than being specific to the repaints.

In any event being more specific in the search worked

Thanks again

You do realize you misspelled PMDG?  You spelled it PDMG.  Just a small error like that can mess up results.  Perhaps you just misspelled it in your OP.  In any case, glad you got it worked out.

Best regards,

Jim
