I rarely make critical remarks regarding a "fellow developer," but after reading the nightmarish installation/activation procedure, I wouldn't install it if it were free... :-rollThank you for the well-written and cogent review though. I'm sure it will help other's who will experience problems...

Hey everyone, I think Ariane should see this post. Maybe....Just maybe they will finally see what will happen if they keep going the way they are. There will be no more Ariane soon. It seems from reading here, a fair amout of customers do not want to continue doing business with them. It's a shame because I think they have alot of potential, they just need to listen more. I have the 600VCE, I like it except for the gauge refresh rate is horrible. The new upgrade @ 29 pounds looks better,(New EFIS Design), but I am waiting a while. For the money charged for their product, I WISH they had a forum. They really are missing out. The immersion is great in the Ariane 737. I really don't have anything bad to say about them, just that the entire process between client and customer needs to be reworked.Best regards, Jeff

Intresting. The price alone kept me away from this bird but now im gonna stay away even further. Too bad these guys wont do anything about their problems. They introduced alot of cool things that other birds dont have like the push tug thing and snow on windshield during heavy snow but unfortunatly having gone this far they are reluctant to go all the way and make a complete product. It also sounds like they treat customers as wallets rather than people. And as for the forum, thats complete bogus, i personally know from experience that it take no more than 30 min to setup a forum. There are over 3 different forum systems that are available for free with painless installation and also a couple of more for a reasonable price. I really dont see why they wont put one up. Unless ofcourse they are afraid of getting flamed which would further reduce the number of their customers.

Gee, what a shock. I've posted many times how bad their 737-700 was when it came out. It's basically the same as what you got, but a SWA livery only and no EFIS/MAP, which is all SWA uses. You have to pay for an upgrade just to have the EFIS/MAP display. I let myself get talked into the NG -700 because a couple people who fly PMDG and other quality payware made the Ariane sound so perfect. Even with the obvious reduced visuals in the cockpit, I thought it would be okay. What I did like were the 2D panels for the FMC and IRS. Those were very well done. The 2Di PFD/ND were very nice too, as far as rendering goes. The problems were mainly what Ricardo pointed out. I honestly believe the awful AP behavior is because they're just using a default FDE and AP configuration. None of my paywares bounce around trying to maintain speed and heading like the Ariane does. Same with the ILS approach. It zig-zags exactly like the default AP does, with it's less than stable hold on the LOC or G/S. The overall flight characteristics were just screwy and not realistic at all.Also, the panels were extremely difficult to read. Looking at their website, they appear to look decent. Obviously not a PMDG or Level-D cockpit, but I expected great frame rates with an acceptance of lower quality visuals. Unfortunately, they were barely legible. Also, many features are even modelled. The overhead has many area that aren't even clickable. No pressurization function like the PMDG for one.With their prices and lack of support for existing products, they'll never get my business again.

Ah guys give the Araine supporters a chance to come back and say how wonderful this greatest of all add-ons ever made! Problems? There are no problems! It's all pilot error I'll tell yeah.
