Awesome simulation... great cockpit details, every system perfectly simulated (even circuit breakers!), lots of failures and malfunctions to deal with... WOW!  Great manuals! A piece of history to study! Thank you, PMDG!!!

I feel the same way. Simply starting that first engine felt like an accomplishment. The cockpit detail is excellent, and there's so much to keep an eye on. I'm a fan of the AFE...I definitely like the feeling that there's a crew present with me as I fly that big ol' girl.

Just fine tuning all the camera views I've set up in the cockpit is going to take a while. Meanwhile, the learning continues! Back to old-school navigation!

I will try to start a few threads to bring your attention to some of the really cool stuff buried in this simulation so you can get an idea just how deeply our modeling really goes.

I have a pretty significant amount of time flying radials of a various size, and obviously have quite a bit of vintage propliner time in the logbook.  Chris and the team spent hours bouncing ideas and collecting data which we then fleshed out using anecdotes, experiences and knowledge from what it takes to fly and maintain one of these airplanes.  We also had a significant amount of input from folks who still operate these airplanes, and that really went a long way toward making this simulation a complete one.

If you are even remotely interested in old airliners, this product will definitely get your juices flowing- especially when you turn the sound up.

I definitly agree with that - This Plane's Engine Sound makes the 777 cry in my opinion (love the 777 though ;) )
