Black dots everywhere! Help please

Hey everyone, Need your help,Im getting the flashing black "dots" everywhere that come and go when i play fs9 They will appear and flash around for a couple minutes, then the game goes back to normal, this will be repeated quite often depending on how long i play. Everything else in the game is working fantastic and im getting a steady 30's FPS. Has anyone seen this before or can offer a possible solution? Note: I am going to attach a screenshot, this is my first effort at doing this so it may be wrong.Kris

In the screenshot, it looks as though autogen ground objects are not being correctly occluded by ground fog. This could indicate a problem with z-buffering.First, if you recently have made any changes to your graphics settings in FS9 or the settings in your video card drivers, revert the changes back to their previous settings. To start from a clean slate, it might be best to reset all of your video card driver settings to factory defaults and all of your settings in FS9 to their default values. If, after doing this, you are still experiencing the same problem, try updating your graphic card drivers.

Have had this problem for a little while now. I have updated graphics drivers, ive even reformatted the pc. I dont want to do that again though because FS9 is finally working the best it ever has, Minus these black things. You can't tell from the screen shot but they are not stationary, they blink on and off,, tends to be around clouds, but not always,,,,, ive also had them on aircraft textures as well. I get them in the VC occasionally, and even on runways textures,,,, so there does not appear to be any rhyme or reason to them......Thanks for the replies,Kris

Hi,Could also be because of over heating. If you're seeing artefacts in all of those various circumstances, then you've likely got a problem with your video card. Either bad video memory or the card is overheating. As JSKorna said, check that your case and card fans are working properly. If you're overclocking your video card or video memory, set the clock speeds back to factory default. If you're not overclocking, try setting your clock speeds below factory default and see if that helps.
