AFCAD for ImagineSim's ATL?

Recommended Posts

Does anyone know where I can get a decent AFCAD for this scenery? I don't think his AFCAD has all the gates active or at least GSX isn't seeing all of the C gates?

Hi Jacek,

There is an update here for SODE animated jetways. http://www.imaginesim.com/KATLspecific/katlupdates01.htm At the top of the page is what you need. The readme.htm in the zip file explains installation. You'll have to remove the jetways_01.BGL file from the scenery folder. BTW gate C19 has no link to the rest of taxiway network so you'll get the (this parking is isolated) message when asking for ground services. I checked the AFCAD in ADE and C19 is the only gate missing a taxiway link. So that gate won't work there. Not sure why. It does appear that the jetway at C21 is misplaced. Too close to C19.

Glad to help.

I noticed some of the parking positions are not close enough to the jetway so you have to move a little towards the jetway for them to work.

Yeah, I found that too and also the jetways don't like going to door 2L on the Queen.  I can't complain because you rarely seen a Queen at Atlanta, but it is on my list of things to do when i find time to learn SODE.

Hi,
I have emailed to Imaginesim about the jetways too far and some other issues(jetways go through safedock) and got a reply that this is the limitation within SODE and they can't do anything with it.

What they should have said is that Pilot12B (I think that is their name) created the SODE jetways for ImagineSim so they want to pass the buck.  The SODE forum has a few posts regarding the reach of the jetways and a fix but the fix was for the B77L and the B744 still is limited to Door 1L.
