New Remote Overhead Released!

Recommended Posts

Dear Pilots,

I'm happy to announce that the new Remote Overhead Client has been released for the PMDG 737 NGX.

allows you to interface with PMDG's 737NGX overhead panel and replicates it on a networked PC. It is fully functional and all switch/knob/button action is forwarded to your in-flight simulation. Also, all switches you operate in-flight, will be synchronized back to the Remote Overhead panel.

All communication is channeled through the SimServer application so you don't need to run any further software on the host system. There is also no additional performance overhead.

Similary to the Remote CDU, the unlicensed version of the Remote Overhead will allow you to view the overhead panel but nut make any changes.

Go ahead and download it now:

Or read more about it here:

Wow! Will certainly check this out. Would you do a 777 one? That would be awesome!

Gentlemen,

there is a new version available:

https://www.avsim.com/forums/topic/475478-remote-cdu-current-version/

This new version adds touch input support that will give you the opportunity to use a touch screen to manipulate all switches, knobs and buttons easily and intuitively.

Additionally, night lighting has also been added for those red-eye flights.

Mark,

Once again, a really great product, followed up with value-added updates. Thanks for the great work, and we'll be waiting patiently for the 777, and 747 versions...haha.

I can report 3.2.2.0 has solved the click sound problems I was having with my Galaxy S4 phone.

The touch function - what can I say - it's superb, and it's so handy to not have to fumble for another mouse to control the Overhead Client...especially in a dark room.

The night lighting with ability to infinitely control dimming is excellent and is very nice for those night flights when I'm sitting in a dark room...makes it much easier to see the VC when I don't have a really bright Overhead Client on the monitor right beside my sim monitor.

Thanks,

Steven Miller

Hello everyone.
I recently got the full pack and it works great. Both the FMC and the 737 overhead.
Congratulations on the excellent work and my wishes for a continuation in the development of OH for the 747 and 777 and now, why not for Airbus and others.
When I discovered this, I did not resist buying a touch screen monitor, to improve my home cockpit a bit more and undoubtedly added value. The same happens with the FMC that I'm using for now on my IPOD, but I hope to use it on an Ipad soon.
I leave some photos to see and vídeo link.
