FSX/FSX-SE? New here, before I jump in

Hello. I'm new to Avsim. I have Microsoft FSX and I'm flying the Saratog II TC. After about 15 minutes of flying FSX quits. I'm pretty computer savvy and where should I start on Avsim to troubleshoot my problem?
