Frank,

I propose to start learning by reading the provided documentation first. You will find a ton of information to treat the lady the right way.

When reaching the cruise FL, that should be the time to activate the ALT hold switch on the back of the pedestal!

I suggest reading the introduction manual. It will explain to you exactly why it's not working.

Frank, you need to apply that sequence

  • Check that selector switch is all left on Gyro
  • HDG knob is centered
  • Switch on AP power
  • Switch on servos which gives the AP HDG and pitch control
  • Switch on ALT hold when you within 50 ft of desired altitude

Frank, I use trackIR. Sometimes the switch is not working from the captain seat and I need to go to the FE pedestal view to operate the switch!
