getting a new desk top

Hi, I am in the process of selecting a new desktop to run FSX and to use as my everyday dektop to cruise the web. the selection is mind boggling and I would like some advice from the experts.

Are you planning to stay with FSX or is there a move to a 64bit platform in your future? If you are planning a move then "future-proofing" (as much as possible) your build is essential. Gaming / flightsim computers do not come cheap.

Up the power supply to 750W minimum and if possible go for at least a Bronze certification. I prefer liquid cooling instead of air but that's a personal choice. Overclocking the CPU is a must so the cooler it runs the better it is. Make sure you get a high-quality air cooler (Noctua for example) or a Corsair Hydro series. Forget the old nVidia 9xx series and choose the newer and better 10xx instead. If money is not an issue you may consider a Titan or a 1080Ti. Otherwise, go for either the 1070 or 1060 series with at least 6GB of VRAM. Plump for a 250GB SSD for your Windows installation and a 500GB SSD for your flightsim use. Keep the 2TB spinner for all other files such as downloads, music, videos etc.
