Traffic 3d in v4?

Recommended Posts

Has anyone tried Traffic 3D in v4 (http://secure.simmarket.com/a-constable-traffic-3d-sounds-fsxp3dv1p3dv2.phtml)  ?  I simply can't stand the MT default AI sounds.  They are so overbearing and I've never found a way to lower them.  The second traffic pushes back the roar is just deafening!  Thinking of picking this up if itll do the trick.

I was beta testing Traffic 3d Sounds in v4 in Ultimate Traffic Live and the 3d sounds worked just fine.  I've not tested it with the default AI, though and haven't tried to install the existing P3D version into v4.   Don't know if the developer has a final version ready for P3dv4, yet, as I've not been in contact for a couple of weeks.  Do you want me to contact him for an update?

I don't understand, it's not on sale, why does it go where sales/deals are posted?

I was confused as well.  I only linked so people would know what addon I was referring to.

Aside from that I purchased and installed without issue and the sounds are MUCH better!

OK, I bought it and tried to install it in v4.  The alias files are listed in the main folder OK but the sounds that are supposed to be in the SimObjects/Misc folder aren't there.  Isn't that where they are supposed to go?

The developer says his goal is to have a native P3dv4 installer ready at the end of August.

Fantastic, thanks for the feedback vp49p3. Now I wonder if the developer of MyTraffic6 will also do an update for P3D4?

I tried the MT6a guide to get decent AI traffic into P3D4 and it works, but my frame rates suffer terribly, especially at busy airports and I often get a few black aircraft that only pop into full colour a few seconds later. This suggests to me that MT6 is not optimised for P3D4 and may need recompiling or whatever it is that these clever people do to improve things?
