Program Pin Error

Recommended Posts

Hi guys,

I've recently ran into an issue with the NGX FMS regarding a "Program Pin Error." I would enter all data into the FMC and when I try go to the takeoff page i get this error.

I also have this issue where my CG is really high and I'm getting invalid entry when entering the GW. This always worked in the V3 version as I always took these steps and it's not now?

Any help appreciated.

Hi,

You may want to search for "Program Pin error" in the NGX forum, there are several threads talking about it.

I have, haven't found a problem that fits my description, they are all related to Pro-ATC which I don't use.

Sorry. I skimmed through some if the threads and saw some people reporting having the problem even without Pro-ATC but I didn't go through all the posts.

You didn't mention which variant... the empty weight for the 738 is about 91.3 klbs so how are you getting a ZFW of 59.5 and a CG that is grossly out of the envelope?  Are you using a 3rd party program to modify the aircraft loading? Please take us through the steps you took from the time you start the session.

My aircraft is set in KG's which would make 64.6 correct. I think I may have fixed it. I was using a panel state that I brought over from V3 I don't think it's compatible. Not loading that panel state seems to work.

Ah okay... yeah typical American I always presume pounds although most the world is KGS... correct on the V3.  Nothing from V3 can be trusted... I've even had problems with a flightplan .rte file save by a v3 NGX in v4.
