New install of windows, my activation key won't work

Recommended Posts

I had to reinstall windows earlier this week and have been slowly getting FSX back to where it was, and my PMDG 777 was the first I tried to install with, but it says the installation key in my downloads is not valid. What's going on here? It was perfectly valid the last time I installed it.

The thing that's gotten a few people (including myself) in cases like these is copying and pasting the key for the -300ER instead of the base package because, if you bought both together, the -300ER key is listed first.

Other things that can go wrong: adding a leading or trailing space during the copy/paste operation or omitting a character altogether. I imagine you've thought of this already, though...
