Locked Add-on Scenery//Couatl? (P3D V3)

Recommended Posts

Hi All,

My "Add-on Scenery" selector within P3D has frozen all couatl scenery - meaning I can't enable/disable this scenery. It's greyed out, and I can't make any selections.

I'd love to remove some scenery to save VAS/Frames. Any suggestions to making this scenery 'selectable' in "Add-on Scenery" drop-down in P3D?

Thanks!

Not understanding what you are trying to do.  Within P3D, in the menu, click on Options and then Add-on Scenery.  You can enable the scenery there or uncheck it and it will be disabled.  You can also use Lorby-Si Addon Organizer which works in P3DV3 too to quickly enable/disable any scenery.

Scenery will not be loaded if you are not within a certain distance to the scenery (around 100 miles or within the LOD_Radius).  So it is not taking up VAS.  In the AVSIM CTD Guide, page 16 provides instructions on how to download and install Process Monitor so that only P3DV3 stuff loads (and not Windows functions).  Using the Process Monitor you can see exactly what is being loaded during a flight.  You can even set it up so that you can monitor what is loaded to the setup screen and then what is loaded when you load the flight.

Photo scenery is the only thing that will load no matter where you are located in the world.  So, if you have photo scenery enabled for Europe and you are flying in the USA, it will still load all of the scenery in Europe if enabled.  So you want to make sure it is disabled if you will not be using it.

Best regards,

Jim
