Is it possible

Recommended Posts

Is it possible to run aivalsoft efb on both p3dv3 and v4 without having to change locations ?

I currently have it working fine for p3dv3 and fsx but i would like to now use it for v4 ,but to do this, will i have to change the path from v3 to v4 or is there a way to have both

Great post, Peter, as I too want to get it working in P3Dv4. Works a treat in FSX-SE, but I have ditched that platform for good.

does it use a .dll? , if so most probably wont work as V4 is 64bits, else find out how it installs (an exe?) then you can change the path in the exe.xml and point it to the old path..(my guess as I dont have it..)

Additionally, does anyone know how to update the Navigraph Airac Cycle? Mine still shows 1310, despite running the very latest 1708 AivlaSoft Update.

AIRAC cycle

Currently EFB supports the navigation data providers Aerosoft NavDataPro and Navigraph FMS data. The full installation package (not the update) contains a complete and free AIRAC cycle from each of the providers mentioned before. Many thanks to Aerosoft and Navigraph for this generous gesture. So even if you are not a subscriber to either the Aerosoft NavDataPro or the Navigraph FMS data service, you are ready to start flying.

Current revisions of the navigation data may be purchased from

http://www.navigraph.com

Supports V4 with latest version. Does not use DLL.XML. To install airac, you must manually do it if using Navagraph. The auto method installs in the wrong place,

You can change sim version within the settings page of the EFB

I have to have FSX:SE, P3DV3 and P3DV4 for software testing, and I've been the A-EFB with all three just fine.  There is a third path to put in for V4, that's all you have to do. After that, you merely tell the Data Manager which sim you'll be using, just like one did between FSX and P3DV3.

So---- no install.  Just enter the path.

Hope this helps you guys.

Best wishes.

Dave, if you don't mind me picking your brains.

I have installed EFB in P3Dv4; I have pointed it to the correct navdata folder; I have the latest subscription-paid Navigraph Airac 1708. Using the FMS Data Manager I manually added AivlaSoft EFB, let it update, etc, but when I fire up EFB, bottom right hand corner I'm still seeing Airac Cycle 1310. What gives?

I'm not at my sim PC at the moment as I'm at work. I can upload screenshots later when I get to it this evening.
