737ngx update problem

The link for downloading updates to boxed versions of PMDG aircraft from Aerosoft is public and very well known:

support.aerosoft.com.

That's where I've obtained all previous updates.

I was hoping that Dornier had a similar link for the EU server, as he said the EU server has the current update.

I certainly have contacted Aerosoft.

When you log into your account, select "my account" and your "instant downloads" and it should be there.  Aerosoft did get back to me and it sounds like they updated the USA server version.

Hi Dornier,

Thanks for your response.  I think my problem is that I purchased the boxed NGX from a third party seller.  So it does not show up in my Aerosoft  account, even though all boxed versions of the NGX originate from Aerosoft.  So I always update from support.aerosoft.com which requires the original code from the box to work.  But the version is not yet updated at that location.  I have contacted Aerosoft about this issue -- I'm a little puzzled why they have made the update available to direct customers but not customers via third party.

Turns out I did purchase the NGX Box (for FSX) direct from Aerosoft, but it is not showing up in my account, which only shows downloads.

Honestly, contacting Aerosoft is your best bet. PMDG has nothing to do with how they handle distributing updates to their customers.

I too had the boxed set from Aerosoft..... but I got fed up waiting for Aerosoft to update their software..

So I did the sensible thing and re bought it from PMDG

and its still a bargain for what you get for your money!

In the past Aerosoft has been reasonably quick about updating.  At any rate no-one should have to pay twice for the same product, although I certainly agree that the NGX is a bargain.  I am waiting to hear back from Aerosoft for a support request I filed on Friday.  They are probably out of the office over the weekend.

Aerosoft finally updated to the current NGX version at support.aerosoft.com early this morning and I was able to download it.

I think Aerosoft uses a different updating system for either FSX (and FS9) vs. P3D, and/or a different system for older versus newer box purchases.  At support.aerosoft.com only the 777 and NGX are available for update, so I guess that purchasers of the new QOT or anything for P3D can do so through their accounts.  I wish Aerosoft would link my box purchases to my existing account, and have contacted them about this.
