Still crazy, after all these years..... 6 and counting....

With apologies to Willie, those hanging around these parts will remember the excitement surrounding the NGX release, yesterday in 2011.  Truth be told, AvSim has never been the same.

She still looks GREAT in Prepar3D v4 (thanks Thore for a superb BBJ2 paint) doesn't she?

Thanks to Dan Downs inspiration, I am starting an around the world trip in the 738... to brush up on my 737 handling skills... and so it begins....

Yeah I remember those last few days and hours waiting for the NGX to release. I don't think I'd ever seen as much traffic on Avsim as we had those days leading up to and release day. Once it was released posted topics were appearing so fast that they'd end up on page 3 within minutes.

BTW, who's Willie?

Life changing! Helped me develop professionally then grew into a hobby of sorts. Thanks PMDG for the NGx. Like it's real counterpart, it radiates a very bright light extending well into what seemed like a very dim future post 9/11 and the GFC.

I just got back into the NGX today after a hiatus. I forgot how hard it is to slow down. Got stable at 500ft... just. Sorry about the blur, is a screenshot of a video recording.

Have you planned out your trip? Just curious because i'm starting the same thing. Interested in hearing some of your destinations.
