'Awesome' and 'not perfect'? How on earth do you reconcile those two descriptions? It's one or the other, make your mind up!

Umm - they are not mutually exclusive - perfectly acceptable to be awesome and not perfect.

Personally I wouldn't call the Beaver awesome but it is quite good - so was the Aerosoft version.

DEFINITION:

awe·some

ˈôsəm/

adjective

extremely impressive or daunting; inspiring great admiration, apprehension, or fear.

"the awesome power of the atomic bomb"

synonyms:breathtaking, awe-inspiring, magnificent, wonderful, amazing, stunning, staggering, imposing, stirring, impressive; More

informal

extremely good; excellent.

"the band is truly awesome!"

And, I must disagree with you Ron. The two words are not mutually exclusive. For instance, "My wife is not perfect (please don't tell her I said that) but, she is awesome.

The Beaver is an excellent representation of the actual airplane. It is also a good example of why it can take Milviz so long to produce an airplane. The airplane was in beta testing when it was discovered that the windscreen wasn't just perfect. So, it went back to the 3dMax modeling shop. Now, like the old song that goes, "The ankle bone is connected to the leg bone, which is connected to the knee bone..." Changing one thing meant changing other things.

Later a discrepancy was discovered by the beta pilots in the cruise airspeed at cruise flaps settings. This entailed two to three weeks of tweaking the FMS and being retested over and over, until it was correct. These items were only two of many that had to be corrected, refitted, or reprogrammed. They all pushed the time line out further.

While I fully understand the frustration of the early buyers of the King Air 359i, I have full confidence, from an inside view, the aircraft will be finished. I also have full confidence that it will be the best model of the King Air 350i built to date.

I have seen many pieces of sorfware that I consider awesome. None of them were perfect from the get go. Show me any piece of software that is.

As already said, they are not mutually exclusive terms.

Trying to get to the finish line is harder on some projects , harder still is eating crow for years , nothing helps , salt , pepper , all the ketchup you can put on it don't change the flavor .  This pre release order thing wasn't a good idea and punishment by way of a mouthful of crow every time Colin opens his yap would seem fitting to some , myself I am amazed he still tries to communicate with the community at all .

There seems to be an undercurrent of unrequited satisfaction in the air , Indeed the KA is very much alive and going to be the best ever , will it be perfect , as close we can achieve , being only human .

Far too many products in the pipeline.

Far too many worker-bees to be kept idle without new things in the pipeline! It could hardly be any other way.
