Autopilot HDG mode

Recommended Posts

I´m having an issue (well, several actually, but this is the most critical at the moment). When I have the AP in HDG mode, the plane will violently bank left and right past the selected heading, never actually settling on the set heading. If for instance I set the heading bug 180 degree left or right of the heading I´m flying, it will continue to roll until I reach an angle beyond 60 degree, and I have to take over to save the airplane.

I can´t see anyone else having this issue, so there might be something wrong with my settings. I´m using P3D4 and AS16 btw.

This happens with me occasionally. If you SLEW the aircraft on the ground before flying it messes up the compasses. Try a reset of the Gyro Drift: SHIFT + D.

If that doesn't work then abandon the flight unless you fancy flicking the AP off and actually flying the thing.
