Effervescent sound in 737 cockpit

Recommended Posts

Hello.

Sound in cockpit in  PMDG 737  NGX are different in Prepar 3 d .v4 compared with 737 in Prepar 3d v.3.4. It is ok? Now I have a high  effervescent sound in cockpit in P3d v.4. Whats wrong?

The sounds haven't changed between versions so I'm guessing your sound settings have changed. Check your P3D sound settings and the FMC sound settings.

FYI - PMDG require you to sign your full name in all your forum posts.

Stepping back to a little scientific method here: the variable that changed is the sim. Usually the variable that changed is the cause of the change in a behavior or result.

If the sound changed between the two, then as Chris mentioned, it's likely your settings not being the same in each sim.

All settings are same in 737 NGX in  Prepar 3d v.4 as Prepar 3 d v.3.4 Effervescent sound in cockpit and outside cockpit in P3d v.4. I have Prepar 3d v-3.4 installed on my older computer and Prepar3 d v.4 in my new computer. I check all settings in both computers.

Then the difference must be in the hardware and relevant drivers for your audio. No sound has changed in the NGX.

Just what is an effervescent sound? What does that sound like? Is that like putting your ear to a freshly poured glass of coke?

Don't want to hijack the topic by I noticed too that sounds are different for me in v4.  I do not have v3x, I am comparing FSX-SE. For me there is a difference between cockpit sounds in v4 and FSX-SE. Also I cannot hear thrust reverser sounds at all in v4 but I can hear it clearly  in Steam.  Changing sound settings in CDU did not make any difference. No changes to hardware etc.

Thx

Something as simple as plugging in a USB headset (even a displayport or HDMI monitor can, too) into a new port can shift your sound settings in Windows. Check your defaults in Windows and P3D most importantly.
