P3dv4 adding aircraft some show up some dont (xml method)

Recommended Posts

I'm trying to figure out a little bit of a mystery.. i have some older aircraft that i wanted to test in p3dv4.. so i installed to p3dv3.. captured the folders and made folders for each aircraft.. some i can get to show up in the sim, others i cant.

I've tried the adding an xml to my docs method.. then i did the command line option where i put the xml directly in the respective aircraft root folder and reference like "simobjects\Airplanes" etc..

Out of 5.. only 2 show up.. one is for the realair duke, which a guide online shows working (the legacy v2 i did get to show up).. same deal on a few older carenado craft.. some show others dont.. i thought maybe it was a pathing issue or something else but cant figure this one out.

Anyone done this sort of method as of yet and can comment on what to look for?  I also have lorby's addon manager tool for trying to decrypt what is going on

Thanks in advance

Did you use Lorby's tool to do the install? Do your a/c contain valid panel.cfg files? Which a/c are you trying to install? Don't show up in the list or you cannot load them from the list? Triple check your paths.

questions - questions - questions........

Great! Usually it's some sort of syntax error, extra comma, etc. Things have to be exact or they do not work.
